CITYSCAPE DETROIT BOARD MEMBERS

Andrew Koper is, in addition to being the president of the organization a Detroit resident, Detroit booster, and enterprising Internet developer. He made www.detroitpreservation.com, www.detroitskyscrapers.com, www.De-twa.com (all no longer online) and www.cityscapedetroit.org to market Detroit well and recruit residents, businesses and investment into the city. A bit player in the Detroit redevelopment community, he has done things with a variety of groups like the Greater Detroit Preservation Coalition, The Greening of Detroit, Think Detroit/PAL, Detroit Synergy Group and the Cecil/Larkins/Braden block club.

Sebastian Atar joined the board of directors as Treasurer in 2007. In this role, he will be responsible for financial reporting, legal compliance, state and federal filings, as well as cash management. He is in his final semester of the Master of Business Administration program at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, concentrating his studies in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Mr. Atar works in the City of Detroit as the Information Technology (IT) Director for Inland Waters Pollution Control, Inc. and is an aspiring entrepreneur, running Atar Enterprises LLC with his brother Gustavo Atar. He and his wife, Emily, enjoy spending time watching the Detroit Tigers, dining at The Renaissance Club in the GM Renaissance Center and stopping at the Traffic Jam & Snug for dessert.

Timothy Boscarino is a resident of Detroit's West Village district and graduate student in Eastern Michigan University's program in Historic Preservation. He became active in Cityscape out of a desire to see the city's recent surge in development channeled into more human-scale, transit- and pedestrian-friendly avenues. In addition to Cityscape, Timothy is also an active member of the Oakland Township Historical Society. Along with preservation, his interests include geography and biking. He recently completed an internship as an architectural surveyor with the Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, and now works as a conservation technician for the Saline, Michigan-based firm Building Arts and Conservation.

Rob Cohon is the Director of Asset Management for Agree Realty Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange traded Real Estate Investment Trust based in Farmington Hills. Prior to this, he worked as an independent Real Estate Broker, and also as a Portfolio Manager with NAI Farbman. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning in 1995 and from Michigan State University with a Bachelors Degree in Urban Planning in 1993. Rob was a past board member of the Oakland County Public Transportation Authority, the County’s policy approval body for the operation of SMART within Oakland County communities, and now sits on the West Bloomfield Construction Board of Appeals. Rob’s family has a long history in Detroit with family that has lived in Detroit and in the region since 1915.

Angeline Lawrence is a Land Use Planner with the City of Detroit Planning Commission and has over 12 years of experience in the urban planning field. She has worked in the public and private sectors in the areas of community planning, economic development and urban redevelopment. Some of the most notable projects she has worked on include Comerica Park, the Lifestyle Mall at Eight Mile and Woodward, the Kroger's Grocery Store at Seven Mile and Gratiot, and the new Perfecting Church on Woodward Avenue. Angeline attained her BA in Economics and a Masters of Urban Planning with a concentration in Economic Development from the University of Michigan.

Vanessa Owens-Warren is a native Detroiter who works for University Physician Group, has a background in sales and interior design and has always been dedicated to the urban development of Detroit. She is a Board Director for Volunteers of America - Michigan and is a member of Jefferson East Business Association (JEBA). She is a Gulf War veteran, big advocate of the City of Detroit, and was the first occupant of Victoria Park Subdivision on the east side of Detroit.

Krzysztof Sadlej is a senior at the University of Michigan studying finance and corporate strategy. His family immigrated to the Detroit area from Poland in 1993. His experience in the city of Detroit sparked an enthusiasm for urban revival work. Krzysztof has volunteered in the city with organizations such as VAST and Detroit Focus Hope, and is dedicated to building a vibrant Detroit that young people such as himself would be proud to call home.
